The larger tankers saw a steady erosion of rates over the past week, as the supply of single hull tankers in the AG kept continuous downward pressure on freight levels. The smaller Aframax class fared better though, and managed to turn rates upward again in the Atlantic Basin – with date sensitive cargos leading the way.
